Florida gets almost $25 million in federal grants - Florida AP - MiamiHerald.com: "state of Florida is getting nearly $25 million in federal grants for substance abuse and addiction treatment.
Health News Florida reported Friday that four community health centers in Florida will share $14.5 million for expansion, and five counties will share nearly $9.7 million for addiction treatment.
The largest health center grant - $8.3 million - is going to Osceola County Health Department in Kissimmee. North Broward Hospital District in Fort Lauderdale will receive $2.9 million, North Florida Medical Centers in Tallahassee will receive $2.75 million and Trenton Medical Center in Trenton will receive $497,000.
Counties sharing the $9.7 million include Hillsborough, Orange, Palm Beach, Pasco, and Pinellas"
